Area of Coverage

In the early days of the water district, the service area of Maragondon consisted of the following 13 barangays:

Bucal 1
Bucal 2
Bucal 3-A
Bucal 3-B
Bucal 4-A
Bucal 4-B

Today, the 13 barangays served by the water district have risen to 15 to include barangays San Miguel A and B.

Production Wells

There were initially only two production wells with two overhead tanks operating under the service area of the water district: Pump 1 – Poblacion and Pump 2 – Bucal IV.

Today, there are four active production wells serving the concessionaires of the water district. Apart from the two previously existing wells, pumping stations for Pump 4 – Bucal II and Pump V – Garita have been established and are both fully operational.

Service Connections 

In January 2000, the Total Active Service Connections were 1,849, with a population served of 11,766. As of December 2019, Total Active Service Connections are 3,716, with a population served of 18,580.

Initially, water district pipelines were 23.53 kms. This was increased by 28 kms when the water district expanded to Barangays San Miguel A and B and Ciudad Silangan.
